YOUTH MINISTRY

ADVISORY COUNCIL for YOUTH RELIGIOUS FORMATION AND MINISTRY

This council is replacing what used to be the Formation and Youth Group Ministry Teams. Its purpose is to gather interested parishioners, adults and teens alike, to discuss issues related to youth religious formation and ministry in a comprehensive manner as well as to make recommendations for furthering this important part of the parish’s mission. Membership on this council represents a two-year commitment for adults and a one-year commitment for teens. Meetings will be held quarterly.

YOUTH MINISTRY CORE TEAM

Distinct from the Advisory Council, this group meets the first Monday of every month, from 6-8PM, to plan events for the parish’s middle and high school youth groups. Members of this team are also asked to regularly participate in and help facilitate Youth Group meetings and events. Contact Joshua Kenny for more information.

CATECHISTS & AIDES

Our Vision commits us to “embrace our children as our younger brothers and sisters in Christ”.  Catechists, Aides, Hall Monitors, Nursery Help are all vital to St. Mary Magdalen’s Religious Formation Program! 

This ministry requires Virtus training, a back-ground check and ongoing volunteer formation sessions.
